[Right_to_die] 35 safeguards for life-ending decisions

Hello everyone interested in the right-to-die,

    An ad-hoc Safeguards Group was assembled several months ago
from interested persons on this right-to-die list.
This has been entirely an electronic group,
without a single face-to-face meeting.

    We have now reviewed and revised
26 recommended safeguards for life-ending decisions:

    And we have compiled a complete list of 35 proposed safeguards:

    Here are the six most important safeguards:
C. REQUESTS FOR DEATH FROM THE PATIENT
E. PHYSICIAN'S STATEMENT OF CONDITION AND PROGNOSIS
K. INFORMED CONSENT FROM THE PATIENT
O. STATEMENTS FROM FAMILY MEMBERS AFFIRMING OR QUESTIONING CHOOSING DEATH
R. AN INSTITUTIONAL ETHICS COMMITTEE REVIEWS THE PLANS FOR DEATH
T. REPORT TO THE PROSECUTOR BEFORE THE DEATH TAKES PLACE
 
    If you are interested in safeguards for life-ending decisions,
you are invited to join our Google Group called "Right-to-Die---Safeguards".

    Our next on-line discussions will explore
the objections to the right-to-die from our opponents.
And we will be revising the following file called:
"A Catalog of Worries, Problems, Dangers, Perils, Abuses, & Mistakes
Possible under any System Permitting Chosen Death":

So far there are 13 such worries named
