ABC NEWS in Australia reported 13 Oct 09:

Dying with Dignity Bill 'flawed'

The Greens' leader wants to bring the Bill on for debate before the end
of the year.

A Tasmanian Parliamentary committee has found proposed legislation to
legalise voluntary euthanasia is flawed.

The Greens Leader, Nick McKim, has tabled his private member's Dying
With Dignity Bill, and intends to bring it on for debate before the end
of the year.

A joint select committee has examined the bill and taken evidence from
pro and anti-euthanasia campaigners.

The committee has found the bill in the its current form does not
provide an adequate or concise legislative framework for voluntary
euthanasia.
