[Right_to_die] reply to Richard N. , C.T.

Dear Richard N.:

Thank you for your six pages of critism of Dr. Jack Kevorkian.  Of course, you are correct in stating he is an abusive individual that has alienated many in the right-to-die movement  His belief that the procedure should be provided by a qualified physician has riled many in the movement, because THEY are not physicians, and all that i have met want to do it "THEIR" way.  May i ask, if you are about to commit to the largest decision in your life time---wouldn't you want a qualified physician to help you?

The fact that there are few physicians willing to commit openly, to helping suffering patients, does not make Dr. Kevorkian wrong.  It makes the other doctors cowards and forces the movement to take a detour from "right" to "workable".  One think we can say about Dr. Jack, he never helped a patient to go to sleep for 3 days, only to wake up.

He may be brash, he may be controversial, he may be confrontational, but he is right, and there are 130+ patients that would swear by him.
